PURCHASE ORDER RECEIPTS
Purchase Orders can be printed with a bar code PO Number that can be scanned at the time a shipment is received to bring up the items that were ordered. If the shipment is bar coded, you simply scan the bar code and the receiving process is greatly accelerated. If the shipment is not bar coded, then labels can be printed and affixed to the shipment for scanning.

PHYSICAL INVENTORY
Hand held devices can cut the time to take a physical inventory dramatically. It requires that the shelf locations be bar coded, but once this one-time effort is completed, the dividends will pay off for many years. The process is very simple. The counter walks the aisle with a hand held device and scans the item number. They then count the items and enter the count on the hand held device. The system is immediately updated with the count and the counter is notified of any discrepancies and either resolves the discrepancy or moves to the next item. Counting could not be easier or more accurate.

SHIPMENTS
Most distributors believe that they could do a better job of picking and shipping. The Wireless module can help minimize problems in the shipping process. The pick ticket can be printed with a bar code for the sales order number on the order. The picker will pull the items and move them to the shipping area. The packer will scan the order number and each item that has been picked. The system will verify that the right items are there to be packed. Errors are immediately identified and corrected before they are packed or shipped.

Wireless Hand Held devices can provide a return on investment in a minimal time frame. Because the hand held devices are actual terminals, they are on-line directly to the system and provide immediate updates to the database. This guarantees the speed and accuracy of each transaction.
